SERVING AUSTIN SINCE 1952

Our History

The Ebenezer Child Development Center has a rich tradition of serving the greater Austin community since 1952. The Center was created  by former Pastor, Robert L. Lowe and the congregation of the Ebenezer Baptist Church.  It was the vision of Rev. Rowe to establish affordable and quality child care for children and their families living within the East Austin Community.  Today, that vision encompasses a diverse community from all parts of the Greater Austin metroplex.

Our Location

ECDC is housed in a modern facility built to serve 160 children ages 2-month through age 5.  We are located in the Heart of East Austin where we are  in close proximity to downtown Austin, The University of Texas at Austin, Huston-Tillotson University, St. Ed's University, and Austin Community College.

Our Staff

Our staff is very experienced in childhood education and meets State and Local requirements for early childhood certification of staff.  Our staff is also trained in CPR and First Aid, as well as trained in COVID-19 requirements of childcare operations.

Our Partners

The Ebenezer Child Development Center is proud to be in partnership with United Way of Greater Austin, Work Source Solutions, Capital City Area Food Bank, and the Texas Rising Star Program where we are rated as a Three-Star center.
