Early Childhood Education to Early Childhood Teachers

Basic Responsibilities:
Teaches class and carries out a daily program to meet the physical and developmental needs of children in various age groups.

Duties:
Plans teaching activities and daily schedule to address all children’s needs.
Teaches required curriculum.
Posts lesson plans weekly in classroom
Actively participates in staff meetings, parent meetings, and workshops as scheduled.
Participates in campus, local, and state required in-service.
Keeps accurate and current assessments for assigned children.
Adheres to campus and state discipline guidelines.
Follows guidelines and requirements from State Licensing.
Keeps classroom clean and tidy, including centers and learning areas.
Employs effective techniques, strategies, and practices that protect the safety of children.
Communicating appropriately with parents on children’s progress, behavior, accidents, and their development (social, emotional, cognitive, and personal).
Ensures that toys, equipment, materials., and supplies are in good working order at all times.
Works cooperative with colleagues and administration.

Qualifications:
High School Graduate, some college preferred.
Pass state background/fingerprint check

Hours:
Full Time Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Mondays through Fridays)
Part Time Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 12 noon or 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (Mondays – Fridays)
